Re: Dog/cat bite..i have never heard that a cat will get diseased from sugar before, though cat bites should be seen to by a medic or cleaned thoroughly. my cat is a feral and hates people so we have to be specially cautious with him. he bit me 2 weeks ago and the bite went bad, so it is only just healing now. cats and dogs both carry bad bacteria in their mouths. cats have taste buds and so do dogs, its just that the cat's palette caters for salty, sour, savory, and bitter. their tongues dont really taste sweet, if not at all then the taste is very weak.
